Community outreach providing training in sex education for teenage girls to prevent early marriages and teenage pregnancies.

As part of the wholistic approach to health care, GlenZ Dignity Foundation is committed to the care and support of orphans and vulnerable in Uganda with emphasis on the Eastern Region of the country.

GlenZ Dignity Foundation (GDF) acts as the welfare arm of the GlenZ Group and GlenZ Dignity Hospital carrying out wider community outreaches in the most vulnerable catchment areas.

The community activities can take the form of public health sensitization, medical camps, education support, food security, household empowerment on a case by case approach, and general wellbeing.

Some of the projects undertaken:

  • Medical camps to Kisima Island I and II
  • Providing clean water to these Islands.
  • The gift of a receiver to each newborn at GlenZ Dignity Hospital
  • Donation of sanitary products
  • Subsidies, discounts, or total offset of hospital bills for patients coming from abject poverty who need treatment but can’t afford it. It’s our policy to not turn away patients on grounds of indigence

Planned projects:

  • Training in the manufacture of reusable sanitary products
  • Community outreach to address health, education and welfare needs of orphans and vulnerable focussing on the Eastern Region of Uganda and beyond.
  • Assist in the acquisition of vocational skills
  • In conjunction with GlenZ Dignity Hospital, run more medical camps in rural, and hard to reach areas.
